How to Clear Cache in Firefox on Computer
Follow the instructions below to clear the cache in the Forefox web browser on the desktop.
Click on ☰ ( three lines ) at the top right corner to open the Application Menu.
The Application Menu in Firefox can be accessed from the ☰ icon at the top right corner.
Click on History.
On the Application Menu in Firefox, click on History.
Click on Clear recent history.
The clearing options are under Clear recent history. Clicking on it will take you to the settings screen to past browsing data – including the cache. You can also use the shortcut
Shift + Command + Delete
on macOS orCtrl + Shift + Delete
on Windows to directly get to the settings to clear the data.Select the Time range to clear and click on OK.
In the Clear Recent History, you can select the type of data to clear. To clear cache issues, make sure Cookies and Cache are selected. Under the Time range to clear option, you can select the period from which the data needs to be cleared. It is recommended to select Everything to ensure the cache is properly cleared.
Restart the browser.
Finally, as an optional step, close the web browser and open it again.
